Mesotherapy (Biorevitalization)

Mesotherapy, also known as biorevitalization, is a minimally invasive procedure that achieves skin rejuvenation in a biological way by injecting, with small needles, hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins, peptides or antioxidants into the upper layers of the skin. This is a widespread non-surgical method that leads to deep hydration and regeneration of the skin by activating the production of collagen and elastin.

Biorevitalization is one of the most favourable and fast ways to achieve a more youthful and fresh look of the skin through intensive hydration. Besides the refreshment being visible immediately after the procedure, the real effect occurs weeks to months after the series of procedures, when the dermis has regenerated, the collagen has increased and the extracellular matrix has strengthened.

If your skin looks tired and lustreless, lost its smoothness and volume, this is the right choice of procedure for you.

Hyaluronic acid is crucial for skin hydration as it is an important part of connective tissue and has the ability to bind to water molecules, thus retaining moisture in the skin. Hyaluronic acid holds water up to 500 times its own mass. A lack or reduced amount of hyaluronic acid leads to dry, rough skin with a loss of radiance, so hyaluronic acid used during therapy is great for restoring skin hydration and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. The skin is visibly fresher, shiny and rejuvenated. In addition, the production of collagen is stimulated, on which the elasticity of the skin depends.

How does the procedure go?

Mesotherapy can be considered a relatively painless procedure, and for the patient’s greater comfort, the treated area is numbed with an anesthetic cream before the injection. After thoroughly cleaning the skin, the bio-revitalizing product is injected using small needles and distributed across the entire treated surface to ensure proper hydration.

What are the advantages of mesotherapy?
  • Rejuvenates the face and delicate areas such as the neck, décolleté, and hands
  • Hydrates dry, dull, tired, and sun-damaged skin
  • Can be used as a preventive measure before the first signs of aging, as well as for recovery after more aggressive procedures
Are there side effects?

They are extremely rare, and if they occur, they are mild. Most commonly, these include redness, mild tenderness at the injection site, swelling, itching, burning, or bruising. These reactions usually subside within 24 to 48 hours.
In very rare cases, an allergic reaction or infection may occur.

What are the contraindications?
  • Age under 18 years
  • Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
  • Infection at the injection site
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • People on anticoagulant (blood-thinning) therapy or with blood clotting disorders
  • People with multiple neoplasms
  • People with chronic liver and kidney diseases
  • People with autoimmune diseases (lupus, scleroderma)
What to avoid before and after mesotherapy?

To reduce the likelihood of bruising, it is advisable to avoid taking blood-thinning medications and supplements (such as aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba), and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs at least 1-2 weeks before mesotherapy.

After the injection of the product, it is recommended to avoid applying makeup, exposure to intense heat such as tanning beds or sunlight, as well as intense exercise for 24 hours.

After mesotherapy, an arnica cream can be applied several times a day to help prevent potential bruising.

What are skin boosters?

Skin boosters are ready-to-use injectable products in the form of a soft gel containing hyaluronic acid, which makes the skin appear radiant.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance in the skin that helps retain moisture. As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid decreases due to various factors such as sun damage, genetics, smoking, and environmental factors. Injecting hyaluronic acid in small droplets at a specific depth in the skin improves its texture, elasticity, and hydration, stimulates collagen and elastin production, and enhances and renews its overall appearance.

In aesthetic practice, there are various types of products containing hyaluronic acid suitable for different age groups. Consult your dermatologist to select the most appropriate product for you.

Mesotherapy for hair

Hair loss is a common problem that affects millions of people worldwide. Mesotherapy for hair is a treatment approach in which a combination of vitamins, minerals and amino acids are injected into the scalp. Thus, hair cells are biologically activated, blood circulation is improved, hair thickness increases and hair growth is promoted. The formation of collagen and elastin is stimulated, and this helps to strengthen the hair follicles and prevent hair loss.

Mesotherapy is used as hair loss prevention, suitable not only for different types of hair loss (androgenic alopecia, alopecia areata), but also for anyone who wants livelier hair, more volume and shine. It is also an extremely compatible procedure with hair transplantation and plasma therapy (PRP).

Androgenic alopecia is characterized by progressive hair loss. It appears with aging and is one of the main reasons why both men and women look for a solution to deal with this problem. In most cases, the main causes are hormonal and hereditary factors. Mesotherapy is an effective treatment that stops hair loss, improves the appearance of hair, strengthens it and stimulates hair growth.

Scalp mesotherapy is a quick and relatively painless procedure, it is safe and does not require local anesthesia. It is suitable for men and women suffering from thinning hair and hair loss. It is important to note that it may not be effective in people with complete baldness or those who have been partially bald for a long time.

The procedure takes on average between 15 and 30 minutes, and after the therapy you can return to your normal daily life. Usually between 6 and 10 procedures are needed every 2 weeks, and the result becomes noticeable already after the first few procedures.

The causes of hair loss can be:

  • hormonal imbalance;
  • lack of nutrients;
  • reduced blood circulation;
  • genetic predisposition.

Of course, mesotherapy is just one of many other hair loss treatments, such as laser therapy, LED therapy, and hair transplants. It is most effective in combination with local lotions and creams and nutritional supplements that stimulate hair growth.
