Laser treatment of vessels with CUTERA EXCEL V+
We are pleased to offer the award-winning Cutera Excel V+ laser system. It combines two wavelengths – 532nm KTP and 1064nm Nd:YAG – and is a new, effective, non-invasive approach to treat various vascular conditions and superficial pigmentary disorders with safety and comfort for the patient. It is also suitable for treating all skin types.
Conditions that the 532nm frequency targets include rosacea, redness, acne, hemangiomas, spider veins, acne scars, freckles and other blemishes that appear as a result of solar radiation. 1064nm is a frequency effective in deeper vascular lesions such as “venous ponding”, reticular veins and other vascular malformations.
This system also uses innovative cooling technology that ensures, in addition to patient comfort, minimal recovery time and side effects.

The main goal of laser treatment is controlled damage to the affected tissue – destruction of hemoglobin – while at the same time minimally damaging adjacent structures.
With the Cutera Excel V+ system, high-powered light energy pulses are delivered to target vessels, which in turn absorb the energy. As a result, blood coagulation is induced in the vessel, after which the body gradually absorbs it and eventually leads to its disappearance.
Pigmentations are treated in a similar way. Cells containing high concentrations of pigment absorb the energy from the laser and generate heat. They darken at first, and then peel off, thus restoring the skin’s natural complexion.
The Cutera Excel V+ laser system is suitable for patients of all skin types and colors.
In case you are looking for a non-invasive, effective and safe treatment of vessels on the face, legs or other parts of the body, this is your procedure. It is also ideal for improving generalized facial redness and rosacea, as well as sunspots and freckles.
Usually several procedures are needed to achieve the desired result, depending on the size, color and number of blood vessels.
For smaller superficial vessels, only 1-2 treatments may be sufficient.
The laser system is extremely effective, and the advantage is that your doctor can precisely adjust the operating parameters so that they correspond exactly to the condition of your skin.
The most common side effects include mild swelling and redness of the skin, and in rare cases blistering or bruising may occur. These reactions usually subside within a few days and you can return to your daily lifestyle immediately after the procedure.
In the majority of patients, the result is visible within 2 to 6 weeks after treatment. However, the final result will be available in at least a few months.
After the therapy, your doctor may advise you to apply cold compresses to the treated area. In addition, it is important to avoid sun exposure for at least one month after treatment, as well as the use of saunas and steam rooms for several days afterwards. It is advisable to use a cream with a high sun protection factor to avoid the risk of pigmentation.
